In his talk, Bono had mentioned that he had persuaded Graydon Carter to have Vanity Fair do an issue highlighting Africa. Here's one of the 20 different covers.

What counts for me is that Kenya's Binyavanga Wainaina has a piece in that edition. And also that Elissa Schapell and Rob Spillman revisit the Kwani Litfest held in Nairobi last December. That to me is definitely great news for Kenyan writing.
That to me is bigger than the fact that the issues was featured on Oprah the other day!
