Earthquake
A mini quake shook downtown Nairobi this afternoon. Buildings swayed gently side to side for about fifteen seconds, with calendars flying off the walls. No damage really, just to people's psyches. They hurried downstairs from twenty floors up, with memories of the '98 bomb blast at the back of their minds and stayed down until they ascertained that it was just a tremor. Most offices closed early at 4 p.m.

Bankelele - thanks for this update. I heard it on the news (1400) and like the junkie I am was running around trying to fine more news. Glad everything/one is fine there.
guessaurus: True, by measure of earthquake's today was a blip, but a scary one when you're rocking around twenty floors from the ground. It is one of those situations over which you have no control, and even if your life is ending, there's nothing you can do/could have done about it.
