Telkom monopoly to continue

Telenor of Norway have withdrawn from the tender for the licence to provide a second fixed-line telephone service.

Before Telkom can be privatized, it must re-structure i.e layoff thousands of employees. Right now most of the money it is getting is going to recurrent expenditure, and not enough is going towards capital expenditure & investments that it needs to grow and compete

Shiroh. Persudae Telkom not to sell 11% shares back to Vodaphone - and tell them that there are enough Kenyan shareholders who will buy Safaricom shares in record numbers.
