It sounds to me like Kenya is struggling with a problem that has already been mostly handled. Am I missing the fact that it's happening; or is it possible that the IT security departments are failing to take advantage of the fact that there's brilliant existing technology that is currently being used all over in the west? No need to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes you just take advantage of what's already there.

In reality, the real weakness will show up in customer service (contingency response to identified potential fraud risks). I believe the systems available will handle the security risks fairly well (making the assumptions that all pertinent data is encrypted and all socket links are secure).Mimmzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08990902967409420434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9317825.post-1121522049591028892010-05-25T12:23:55.719+03:002010-05-25T12:23:55.719+03:00Kellie, harsh but true, the changes after the merg...Kellie, harsh but true, the changes after the merger have not been for the better, decisions are made in SA for local clients, and as a stockbroking client, we basically had to open new accounts, despite CFC having our records of many yearsbankelelehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01180926084939364063noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9317825.post-87927722450129459322010-05-24T13:23:02.556+03:002010-05-24T13:23:02.556+03:00How did CFC Life lose all that money?

With the merger, CFC lost its touch with customers.

Had a corporate and personal account with them, closed both. The funny thing is you can even tell which staff members are CFC and which are Stanbic.

This merger is a study in failure. Both entities might end up being worse off.Kelliehttp://www.twitter.com/rookiekenoreply@blogger.com
